What is HIFU?
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound is an FDA approved, safe and effective alternative to a surgical face and neck lift. It is the only treatment other than a surgical facelift able to tighten the SMAS (Superficial muscles in the face and neck in such a precise, safe, multi depth treatment that’s suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types with absolutely no risk of pigmentation since it by passes the outer layers of the skin to treat at the focal region. HIFU treatment rapidly stimulates and produces new collagen and elastin and tightens the skin from the inside out.
No downtime, no surgery, no scarring , and the results are natural. We re just working with the body naturally , kick starting the skin and tissues to regenerate in order to age gracefully and naturally.
The focused ultrasound energy skips the epidermis layer leaving no damage to the top layer of the skin and targets at the required depth of 1.5 mm, 3mm and 4.5mm for skin tightening. The energy which is delivered at around 65 degrees will produce a thermal effect to the dermal collagen fibers and stimulate the SMAS. The skin will be lifted and tightened. Some results will be seen instantly but with optimum results seen at 12 weeks post-treatment when the collagen regeneration process effects can be noticed. The effects will last from 18 months up to 3 years with just one treatment . Top up treatments once a year and a course of 3 treatments may be required initially spaced 12 weeks apart to achieve the desired results. It’s virtually pain-free and results vary so client selection is important. A medically certified high quality HIFU device and treatment protocols and technique are both equally important. You can charge anywhere from £400 – £2000 per HIFU Face & Neck Lift / treatment depending on your type of clinic and geographical location.
