Across supervised practical days, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with a range of advanced light-based hair removal technologies, including medical-grade laser and IPL systems. This gives you a balanced understanding of how different technologies perform across a range of skin types and hair characteristics.
You’ll practise:
- Accurate skin assessment
- The science of selective photothermolysis
- Linking hair and skin cycles to treatment timing
- Choosing and adjusting fluence and pulse durations
- When to use laser vs. IPL
- Planning settings based on skin and hair type
- Identifying and managing adverse reactions
- Consultation, record keeping and patch testing
- Clear, safety-led client communication

Keelee Lamb is a highly experienced Skin Specialist and Aesthetic Trainer at Cosmetic Courses, which runs training clinics near London’s Harley Street. With over 24 years of industry experience, she leads level 4 and 5 qualifications and frequently teaches in the London centre.
Keelee’s Background & Specialities
- Experience: 24 years in the aesthetics and skin industry, having previously managed a skin and plastic surgery clinic before joining Cosmetic Courses in 2018.
- Current Roles: She manages the London centre and teaches advanced skin treatments.
